no, we arrange fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver in the price. you will need proof of identity (see below) with you when you pick up the van.
right, brace yourself. our insurers require all of the following:
· driving licence including the counterpart. The counterpart is important because that's the bit where any endorsements or convictions are listed and our insurers absolutely insist on seeing it. If you have a photocard licence and no convictions you might not even realise that you have a counterpart but you do, it came with the photocard and we need to see it.
· a recent (less than three months old) utility bill. The bill must be in your name and have the same address as your driving licence; it cannot be a bill for a mobile telephone. gas, water, electricty and tv licence are all acceptable forms of utility bill.
· one other substantial form of identification. we suggest you bring your passport.
so to sum up what you should bring:
1. driving licence
2. driving licence counterpart
3. recent utility bill
4. passport
if you think that you are going to have difficulty producing any of these items call us as soon as possible; we have a huge list of different types of acceptable id.
sorry, we simply won't be able to let you take the van. from time to time people forget to bring a seemingly insignificant piece of id, such as a recent utility bill, and we end up on the phone trying to plead a case with our insurers. it has never yet worked, they are absolutely resolute on this point; you must have all of the required forms of id listed above.
we can arrange additional insurance for one driver as an optional extra. the aditional driver will need to provide all of the id listed above.
most of the buses are arranged to sleep two adults and two children.
take it easy, you are looking at a top speed of 60mph.
